Can't tag files on external hard drive

when i tag files on my external hard drive ,it take the colour of tags but when i'm in finder and click for example on blue tag there isn't any files appear 😕

It's probably normal that tags can't be attached to such a file system. I don't think its developers ever thought of tags.

Exfat gave me issues for spotlight searches I think tags and spotlight only search os journaled drive

i use ExFAT for Mac and Windows (read/write).
is there any solution to fix incompatibility and work in both systems?

What I did was bend Windows 7 to me and installed the shareware MacDrive. Then my Windows 7 partition could read/write/format all my OS X formatted drives.

If you want to bend OS X to NTFS look at Tuxera NTFS[ or NTFS. A word of warning, if you install one of these software programs you need an updated system of OS X every time it moves to a new version.
