iPod touch Can't Take Screenshot With 3rd Gen iPod Touch

Hey All,

I am confused on why my 3rd Gen iPod Touch can't take screenshots when my 1st Gen iPod Touch and iPhone can. Is there some sort of issue? Anyone else having this issue? If not then I guess I'm bringing it into see a Genius... I noticed it since the first day I bought it but thought nothing of it... But not I need to take screenshots for things and can't do it.... It just locks my screen as if I clicked the On/Off button instead of a combo button of that with the Home Screen Button...

Are you sure that you are doing it correctly?

I.e. pressing the home button just after the lock button whilst holding it?

Or do you think there is some sort of fault with the device?

mine is working perfectly.

hold the home button, press the sleep/awake button and then look in the "photos" app

If your home button and sleep button both work, it's a software problem.

If a restore doesn't work, it's a problem with you.

But yea I am doing it right. I have a iPhone and 1st gen iPod touch as well that it works with. Both buttons are working correctly so as stated it is probably a software glitch. Cause when I press those 2 buttons... all it does it lock my screen. I will try a restore and report back. Thanks!

Ok Thanks All! The restore worked .

To DVDHSU: LOL! didn't realize you lived in Palo Alto.... that's 20 minute drive from me if I drove speed limit XD. Like your signature.... we have so much in common already haha.

I had the same problem.All I did to fix it was to power my iTouch down and restart

You have to click them at the same time.
