    Hey All,

I am confused on why my 3rd Gen iPod Touch can't take screenshots when my 1st Gen iPod Touch and iPhone can. Is there some sort of issue? Anyone else having this issue? If not then I guess I'm bringing it into see a Genius... I noticed it since the first day I bought it but thought nothing of it... But not I need to take screenshots for things and can't do it.... It just locks my screen as if I clicked the On/Off button instead of a combo button of that with the Home Screen Button...

Thanks in Advance all. Looking forward to your answers and help.

    Regards,

    Tony

Are you sure that you are doing it correctly?

I.e. pressing the home button just after the lock button whilst holding it?

Or do you think there is some sort of fault with the device?

If your home button and sleep button both work, it's a software problem.

    If a restore doesn't work, it's a problem with you. :D

    Good luck.

    Thanks for the response guys!

But yea I am doing it right. I have a iPhone and 1st gen iPod touch as well that it works with. Both buttons are working correctly so as stated it is probably a software glitch. Cause when I press those 2 buttons... all it does it lock my screen. I will try a restore and report back. Thanks!

    same problem

I can't seem to do screenshots either. Holding the "Home" button and clicking the "Sleep/Wake" button only puts my iPod into sleep mode. I tried a simple restart to no avail, and did a full restore...still nothing...

    iPod Touch A1318, 4.1, Model MC008LL...

    Thoughts?

You have to click them at the same time.
