I've never had this problem before, but tonight I downloaded a movie and tried to transfer it to my iPhone 4. At the end of the transfer, I get this error message:

I've tried re-authorizing the computer, resetting the time, and deleting the SC folder (all of which were suggested on the Apple Discussions site) all to no avail.

Any ideas?

Everything latest.

Not jailbroken - standard AT&T.

I restarted the computer (and thus iTunes) after deleting the SC folder. I also tried resetting all settings and shutting down the iPhone.

This is the first time this has happened, and it's with a rented movie. I'm able to transfer other video content (TV shows, ripped movies, etc.) without a problem. I've never had a problem transferring rented movies in the past.

No, I have 17 GB of space left.

As I said in the initial post, I tried deleting the SC folder and that didn't work.

ahh yes sorry it was late. The only other thing I can think of is that you must be log-in to Itunes Store in both the computer and the phone on the same account the movie was downloaded. Maybe sign-out of the store on both the comp and the phone, restart them both and sign on individually to each then try the movie sync and see if that helps.

Thanks for your help, everybody.

I talked to Apple and they're out of ideas, so they're going to replace the phone.
