Can't Trash Yahoo Messenger?

I took the Yahoo Messenger App from the App's folder and draged it to the trash. When I go to empty trash it brings up a box that says that it can not because yahoo messenger is in use.
I have logged out of yahoo messenger. What am I doing wrong?

Is Yahoo Messenger actually closed? If not, close it, then try deleting it.

Other than quiting the program, how else would i close it.

Try rebooting then empting the trash.


If that still doesn't work, open the terminal and type this:
rm -rf ~/.Trash/*

I figured it out. Another account user had yahoo messenger open. When I quit the program on that account I was able to empty the trash can.
