    Hey,

Have a strange issue, been using iterm2 and recently its stopped allowing me to type the number 8. All other numbers work fine, and the key works in other programs just not iterm2 and terminal. I tried the mac terminal after iterm2 had the fault and its affecting them both. Its a really strange issue and I'm not sure what to try to resolve it.

I have tried typing 8, copy / pasting 8. Both have the same results. The terminal can display 8 if its in a file that is being edited or in top.

If theres a way to reinstall terminal I could do that, but I'm not sure how. I'm not too familiar with macs and more used to linux.

okay, tried it in sudo su and it seems to work. So looks to be tied to my profile. Is there a way to default reset all config for the terminal?
