Can't Unlock Iphone.

Hey guys,
I'm trying to unlock and jailbreak my iPhone but it's not working. I downloaded blackra1n to do it and when I click on make it rain, it reboots the iPhone but after the picture shows up, it tells you to plug your phone in to sync with Itunes. If I do that, it goes into recovery mode and you have to restore it again. How do I fix this? I have Itunes 9 and the 3.1.2 version.

Is it a 3GS? YOu might have the newest bootloader.

If you have the new version of iBoot, you can currently have only a "tethered" jailbreak. Read all about it here.
