Can't update - asking for Apple ID from previous owner

    Hi all,

    I'm trying to update Yosemite through the App Store, but it's asking for me to sign in with the Apple ID of the previous owner (it's a 2nd hand MacBook).

    The email address is greyed out and I can't change it. Does anyone know what I can do?

    Just sign out of the App Store then sign in with your own AppleID then go to the Yosemite page and "purchase" (free) it under your AppleID.
