Ok so I have my ipad 2 on 4.3.1 and I downloaded the update to 4.3.3 via iTunes and when I try to sync the update to the ipad it says that my ipad isn't eligable for the requested build? So I can't get it to update for some reason, I have no idea why this is as I downloaded it straight through iTunes!

...

Thanks, i read another post and saw that was the issue. I thought it must have to do with tiny umbrella but had no idea how to fix it

I don't know if this will help, but I was having problems updating an iPhone 3GS. Someone else here on McRumours (thanks TriJetHero) posted the following steps to get rid of my issue:

Step 1: Download and the latest version of TinyUmbrella from http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com

Step 2: Click on the "Advanced" tab and uncheck the option "Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit"

Step 3: Reboot your computer and try to restore again.

Along the way TinyUmbrella had told me to kill Skype and I also read I needed to disable my antivirus software during the update. After I performed the steps above, I also made sure Skype was not running and temporarily turned off Symantec Endpoint Protection. I was then able to upgrade my phone.

Thanks, but there is no need to reboot the computer.

Actually, for my specific case, I tried updating my phone without rebooting and it didn't work. I got the same error. After reboot the update occurred without a problem.

I quit TinyUmbrella and tried the update. I got the same error message as before. Then I rebooted and the update worked.
