I’m running macOS 26.4 beta 1 on my M1 iMac with 16 GB RAM because I couldn’t get it to update to beta 2. Today I tried to update to beta 3, first the usual way and then in safe mode. Both times it quit after downloading. Obviously the only I’m going to get it to work is by using a full installer. Can someone post a full installer link when it becomes available? Help!!!

Try this command in Terminal:

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer

They don't release it on day one anymore. Since a while it comes when the public beta is released. Same for Sequoia and Sonoma.

And some people even had the same problem using the full installer to update to Beta 2.

Code:
~ % softwareupdate --list-full-installers
Finding available software
Software Update found the following full installers:

I don't understand.

You have your config set to install Sequoia betas, and the latest Sequoia version shown is the one you have.

If you're trying to upgrade to Tahoe, don't you need to remove the beta updates option you currently have set which is locking you into Sequoia?

That's 15.7.5 RC2 (24G612) in the list. I updated to RC3 (24G617) yesterday.

I downgraded from Tahoe 26.4 Beta 2 last week.

Beta 3 will appear there too no matter what Developer Beta I choose here:

Also I just have to look in the seed catalog if new full installer package links are present.
