Can't update Windows ARM to latest insider version ?

On the dev channel, I have been updating windows pretty much once a week since it came out but the latest update it won't let me apply.

Updates failed.
Your windows version has reached end of life.

Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.21382.1000 (co_release) - Error 0xc1900101

I'm currently on 21376

Any one else having the same issue or got a solution ?

I am running this in parallels btw.

BUT I have just seen that although it is showing 21382 (which I installed yesterday) in the bottom right it is still offering 21382 in the Windows update. Will see what happens!

I went ahead with Install now and it has "reinstalled" 21382 without any messages like yours. This was too quick to be a full update and todays update does not appear in Update History, only the original 21382. Don't know what happened. Windows Update is not offering anything more.
 
For anyone with the same problem, disable shared folders in Parallels and Windows will update perfectly.
 
Also the screenshot shows a cumulative update, not a newer version system update. (They were 2 one after the other).
 
Just disable all sharing (and I do mean all sharing in both directions Apps and files and clipboard and drives) options in VM config ... then update reenable after update .... boom

YMMV
 
Just uninstalling the parallels tools, update, reinstalling the tools is easier. (if you have the update problem, I don't at present.) I had to do that awhile ago...

Why would you do that. No wifi no graphics bad idea. Disable is 4 clicks.
 
Wow yep sorry your right uninstalling something is better than just disabling a few features. I guess no one follows the method and more of if it any broke don’t fix it.

Btw it’s the official fix over on the Parralels Forum same issue in beta 17 also when upgrading to 87.

You seem to forget that if upgrade fails your back we’re you were and everything still works, if you only disable a few features.

and removing the tools kills auto scaling , mouse sharing etc. but that’s just detail if it was so advisable to uninstall why install the tools in the first place

I also take a snapshot beforehand, though it's never been necessary to restore it. As for why I do that, it makes sure there isn't anything parallels getting in the way, and yes, I've had it where disabling sharing wasn't enough. I never found it as quite the burden you seem to think it is either. I like the tools installed, and I only uninstall them if I have a problem with an update, which I haven't had for quite some time.

Wow ...so remove all of aparralels getting in the way ... do you uninstall the whole App as well ... just in case ;)

when fault finding you change one thing at a time ...
