Can't use iTunes balance to purchase

Is anyone else having problems using store credit at the moment?

I'm getting this...

I had a problem before with a dodgy gift card code that I got on eBay so I'm a little worried when stuff like this happens. It does say "problem with the iTunes store" which makes me feel a little better I guess.

ME TOO!!

I was about to re-download an app I've already downloaded before on my iTunes, and was having a problem. I have a "one free song" credit I haven't used yet (from a Ticketmaster purchase), and I thought that might be the problem. But when I tried to use that credit to buy a song, the same exact prompt you show here came up! This JUST happened, and I was about to post here about it when I saw your post.

My Apple TV just emptied all by itself and is resyncing right now. A similar thing happened when I had store trouble before.

Still seems like a random side-effect though.

im buying an app through the iPhone and so far its working!

Now installing so it works on the iPhone!

Same here. Glad I'm not the only one having this problem.

Maybe Apple doesn't want our money anymore? 😛
