Can't use new Studio Display as second monitor wirelessly?

I was shopping for a monitor after damaging my old LG and thought it might be nice to go for Apple's Studio one as it's pretty stylish compared to the usual black plastic boxes I use. I would love to run this without a cable from my M4 MBA but I saw a comment saying this isn't possible.

Anyone know what the deal is here with this?

Studio Display does require a cable, yes.
