can't watch music videos

so after the latest software update (10.5.7), iTunes isn't playing my music videos as videos. iTunes plays the song, but without any video. when i go to View - Full Screen or Video Size, nothing happens. it's as if it is just a regular mp3/AAC file. anyone else have same problem, have any ideas, fixes? i'm guess it is just a quick click away and i'll feel stupid once fixed, but if anyone can point me in that direction, i'd appreciate it!

I'm not totally sure, but have you tried Perian: http://perian.org/ 😕

worth a shot, but i shouldn't need it, right? i mean the music videos are downloaded directly from iTMS, so additional pluggins shouldn't be necessary. so confused!
