Can't you stop the Iphone 6 names already??

The next generation iPhone is the sixth generation so it does make more sense to call it the iPhone 6 - that is, unless they just change the rules of the game.

In what context does calling it the iPhone 6 make sense? Certainly not in the Marketing sense where they're, you know, trying to sell phones and not confuse the public ("what happened to the iPhone FIVE? Was it a flop? Did they abandon it? I've got a 4 and the next one is a SIX?"). You know, the public who hasn't the slightest clue what the hell 'generation' phone they're holding?. Maybe in some nerd-wet-dream sense maybe, but not in the real world.

I am not here to fight for the naming scheme, but why would the public be confused? Was there an uproar with Windows 7? Do people care that every new Mac OS is technically still OSX? I really, REALLY don;t think the naming structure is going to leave people saying "OH GOD! It's not called what I thought it would be. This makes no sense. What do I do now?!?!?!" Whatever they call it, people will buy. The ads alone make sure the general public knows the name of their newest iPhone model.

Lol, I'm facepalming again at you guys, for trying to figure out the name of the next Iphone, it's not relevant, cause Apple has that in control, regardless of order.

For the ones who asked me why I creat this thread if I'm facepalming, all what I can say is: Really?

Ok, I just FACEPALM everytime I read something like this, here in the forum:

"It's not Iphone 5, it's TECHNICALLY 6"

6.-Iphone 6th generation (Skip the numbers, they don't care)

Really, people, It's not about the chronological name, it's not about the generation name either, in the end, it's about how Apple wants to call it.

When the new iphone comes out, you'll remember me when I say this: A lot of threads of "The real name of the Iphone", and you'll imagine me facepalming so hard, feeling shame because those threads!!

If Apple decides to call the new iphone "Iphone whatever", then "Iphone whatever" is gonna be their name, not Iphone 6, or 5.

NOT IPHONE 6!! Come on!!
