I just got a new aluminum macbook, and the only thing that seems like a problem is the caps lock key is not sensitive like the rest of the keys. I tap it like every other key and it usually takes 2-3 or more times before it changes.

Is there really anything to do? I hate to take it back for something so trivial. But I am afraid it will bother me more and more.

The caps lock key is like that to prevent accidental clicks. Just holding it for longer than normal will activate it.

OK, thanks. I wondered about that. I will get used to it.

Its a feature that was noted a while back and was introduced with the MacBook chicklet keyboard in 2006. I think its really useful for all those times I keep missing the Shift or A keys.

My sister insists on turning caps lock on and off again in order to type a capital letter, instead of just using shift. This is an very annoying habit indeed! Keyboards should be made like this...
