I have some AVI's laying around and I'd like to extract certain parts of the sound to mix with eventually.

Any free apps that will do this w/ Leopard?

Did some forum researching, and found this:Soundflowerbed It's for free, but quite old.

If you were looking to go a bit further with some ease of use give WireTap Studio a try, but it come with a $69 pricetag.

imo Quicktime pro is the best and easiest way to do this, although it isn't free. You just export the audio as whichever filetype you choose. It has the added bonus of being able to export the movie itself in different formats too...
