Capturing video via hdmi in nmpro?

    Haven't seen anything about this here nor is anything coming up on a web search. Curious if it's possible to capture video using the hdmi port on the nmpro or if it'd output only. And if it is possible what software will allow such a thing (used to use fcp7 to capture via FireWire. If that capability transferred over...I'll be over the moon)

    Nope. Just like before you need a additional card or box.

    Keep in mind that virtually every device/stream is going to have HDCP and it's not going to just be a simple matter of connecting an HDMI -> USB or similar capture device and then being able to record everything.

    You capture through a BlackMagic or Matrox breakout box, through the thunderbolt. Up to 4K depending on the device. Or a video card, depending on what computer you are using.

    Or, you shoot onto SD or expresscards, then just pop the footage in that way.
