Car mount for 6+ with Apple leather case?

Any car mount suggestions for use with the 6+ in the Apple leather case? I've used ProClip mounts for years, so those wobbly vent or windshield mounts simply won't do for me. I had my 6 Plus naked for a long time, but after cracking the screen I decided I had to give in and get the Apple leather case.

I ordered the Proclip mount for the 6 Plus in a case, and it arrived yesterday. But it's just raw plastic with no padding, and it started rubbing and scratching the edge of my case just while adjusting the width. I slid the phone in and out less than 10 times while making adjustments, and it's already wearing away the case. So that option is out.

Now I'm at a loss for a great mount option that won't wear down the case, but is as sturdy as the ProClip. I'd love something that could mount to my Proclip dash mount using the AMPS pattern, but can't seem to find anything. I tried out a magnetic mount, but the little metal piece under the case bugged me too much. Any other suggestions?
 
I have the 6 with the Apple Leather case and just got the ProClip with Lightning. I was worried about it scratching the leather but so far that does't seem to be an issue. I think when I originally opened the arms I left them just a small bit wider than iPhone.

I also have the black leather case so maybe the scratches aren't showing as much.

As for options, there's someone at work that has a magnetic circle on the back of his iPhone case. There's a nub that'll stick to your car (maybe you can stick it to the ProClip mount). The magnet's pretty strong and won't fall off, according to the guy. Unfortunately I don't know what it's called.
 
I haven't returned the ProClip yet, but just don't like the idea of leather rubbing against plastic every time I insert or remove it. I can't imagine why they didn't pad it like the mount for phones without a case. I ordered this to attach to my vehicle ProClip mount, then a universal mount that can attach to that. I'll see how well that soliton works before returning the ProClip.

That one looks similar to the one I ordered, except I'll mount it to the ball attachment from Arkon that I linked to in my previous post. That should give me a decent universal holder that won't scratch my case, and be stable because it'll be screwed into my ProClip car mount.
