Suzuki - weedy engine. You'll be cursing how slow it is in six months.
Corsa - it's a Vauxhall. Say goodbye to any street cred you have. Dull, bland, uninteresting, ugly.
Mini - fantastic handling, holds its value very well. Good dealers, cool car, fantastic owners' community (check out the MINI2.com web site).

The Swift would get my £££, the sport model got some very good reviews from Fifth Gear.

Thing about the Mini is, well, sort of saying "Im trying sooo hard to be cool"

Now a late original Mini Cooper on the other hand...

Corsa is a Vauxhall., all you need to know really.

Fancy overtaking in fourth gear? Plan well: 50-70mph takes 13.1sec. Third, then? You’re still looking at 7.7sec. A 1.4-litre Clio is half a second quicker to 60mph and will accelerate from 50-70mph in fourth in 9.8sec.

And I thought my car was slow! I can beat those numbers in 5th!

Have you thought about the Citroen C2? I love mine.

Out of those 3 though, I'd be taking the Corsa out of the mix first. Between the Swift and the Mini I'd go for the Mini. Slightly more expensive but after all, it is a BMW so it's going to be reliable. They look great (As does the Swift, but only the Sport version IMO) and they are a pleasure to drive. :)

The only thing with the Mini is that everyone and their grandma seems to have them these days, easy to find parts for though.

I did for quite a while, and they are nice cars, but for a new car i can get a much better price at my local Suzuki dealership, who are desperate to move units.

I'm starting to get pressure calls from both sides, now. I might have to take the phone off the hook :)
