Does anyone have any recommendations for a car holder to fit the vents of a Mercedes Benz A Class (stock photo to show an example of the dash/vents attached)

Due to the Mercedes having those circular swivel vents, normal vent holders don't seem compatible. Ideally looking to find something to connect to the vents, and then have a MagSafe dock to attached the phone to

I did have this purchased for me, which is good for the MagSafe holder element, however as per the images not compatible with the vents below

It does have car play, but sometimes for a short journey I'd like the ability to just stick it on a MagSafe holder instead of plugging it in

So, your picture shows a wrecked car.
(Are you sure that's not your Mercedes - showing the results of distracted driving?)

Check out clicon/brodit for your car. Mine locks in below/above airvent. Works great in my Nissan Navara and have used in previous Jeeps.
Not cheap but air vent holder are useless.
I use carlinkt for wireless CarPlay too so never have to plug in or mess with a holder bracket.

If you use CarPlay, why mount the iPhone there with the screen facing you? Sincere question, because I've seen others do this too without understanding their use case.

That's where it fits in my vehicle or could go in front of the hazard light further to the left , they are vehicle specific holders. Every car is different spot.
Sometimes it's easier to use phone than the screen too, like to start radio app.
I mainly got it for a charger/holder, was using cup holder for last year but you have to plug in to charge and takes up space, you can't touch your phone here when driving, but you can legally in a fixed car holder. Australia.

Got it. It varies state by state here, and in my state it's not legal to drive and operate a cell phone with hands unless the vehicle is in neutral or park (or there is an emergency). My car has room to stash it out of the way, but I hear you that space is limited in some cars.
