If it isn't the battery, I will say timing belt.

Take off the distributor cap -- and have someone see if the rotor spins when you crank it.

If it isn't spinning the timing belt is broken.

Again: check ignition.

I'm betting you wouldn't have bought the battery if you had. New cap & rotor would have been cheaper, too.

Didn't buy the battery. Gotta love warranties. :D

My guess is the starter. My friend's car had the same symptoms and that's what ended up needing to be replaced.

I plan on popping out the starter and getting it tested. Thanks for the tip and advice. :)

Couple of questions for you. This is fuel injected, correct? And when is the last time this thing actually started?

Hasn't ran since the 5th. Why, would that have something to do with something? Yes, its fuel-injected.

I dont know about the timing belt. From what I was told by a mechanic who looked at it (but wouldnt do anything without starting to charge me out the a**) He said the timing belt was fine, and on the V6 3.0L engine, the timing belt, even if it wasn't there, the car would still kick over. The Haynes manual says the same thing, but I'll look into that as well.

Keep the suggestions coming guys. :)

Hopefully one of these days I'll get to look at it without it storming like hell.

Don't worry, if it has a belt instead of a chain it is only supposed to be replaced every 60k miles on the old cars -- and if it breaks engine will turn, but the camshafts likely won't.

So on an old car, it is always worth a look. And I don't think the car would start without it.
