Just updated to Catalina and todays bu failed. Apparently I need to erase my destination disk and re-backup.
Already made a recovery hd.

Not an expert here. So, I watched a Bombich video. Did not stay at Holiday Inn ;)

My only question is which External drive/container do I select to erase and re-backup too.

My disk utility pic is below.

The Lacie on top is already GUID and is 2TB. The volume below is where the backups go too and it shows as Carbon Copy Cloner disk on my desktop.

The bottom Lacie is for Time Machine and General Storage.

My question is which disk do I select to erase and reformat as APFS.

The top Lacie or the volume right below titled Carbon Copy Cloner?

Thanks

Do you have other backups, hopefully 3? I wouldn't erase any critical data until I was sure that I could recover from a backup disk failure.

Thanks HDFan

I do have other backups

I did figure it out and got CCC working now on Catalina and a fresh backup

Now need to find my WD drive and put a Clone on it.
