I have a user on a Windows 10 machine. They work remotely, and I need to make sure their work is being backed up. This work cannot reside on the central server until complete*. The duration of the project is several months. User has their desktop and 2 external drives at their disposal.

Windows built in backup will suffice for the data, but I'd also like to dedicate the 2nd drive to a bootable backup. I'd rather not walk them through a system restore if possible. Anyone have suggestions for a reliable, free, and fast (pick 2 right) app for this purpose?

OS, apps, data - total volume ~100GB.

    Thanks in advance!

*uploads to server are unscheduled, will happen if and when bandwidth allows.

My first thought is Norton Ghost
I've never used it, so I'm not certain it meets all your requirements

    Acronis True Image

And as the previous reply stated "Norton Ghost". Not sure if Norton Ghost works with Windows 10 but Acronis True Image does. By the way, True Image is currently on sale. Good time to buy.

Paragon Hard Disk Manager is another.

When I upgraded the drive in my Lenovo Yoga from 120 to 500 Gb I first tried using Macrium free, and failed. Then tried Paragon and succeeded.

NB none of these are any good for Bootcamp....need Winclone.
