Powerbook G4 1.33mhz Panther OS XThe machine won't boot except to show a gray background, apple and pinwheel spinning.
When I ran sudo diskutil repairpermissions / from terminal, I got the above message. What does it mean?
The computer wouldn't allow the utility program to be run from the Disk ! that came with the machine and also gave me another message that said a newer version of OS X was running on the system.
I'm about to try to recover my files via firewire and another G4 powerbook if I can't figure how to boot up.
When I was in terminal, it also said that the clock date was Dec. 31, 1969.
These are all the clues I have just don't have any answers.
