iMac 21.5 8 GB ram El Capitan V 10.11

Since installing El Capitan I have to reboot my mac everytime I want to use my card reader. Any bright ideas?

Actually, I believe he IS talking about the internal card reader - I've been experiencing the very same problem. The thing only works sporadically and I have to resort to an external reader if I want to avoid having to reboot.

That's correct McFly. I used to be able to load a pic in about 20 seconds, now it takes forever. Anyone got a fix?

I can only speak for myself, I've got an iMac - and it's not about speed, either, but about recognizing there's a card in the slot in the first place.
