I just got an iphone and have been looking around for new apps when I saw this Mashable video (http://mashable.com/follow/videos/1...io-have-found-a-new-unique-use-for-the-iphon/). To my delight, the app is now on sale for $0.99 only so I grabbed it. The Cardiio app is seriously magical. It's my favorite app at the moment coz I'm really impressed it can see my heartbeat without touching me. I tested it against my BP monitor at home and it's very accurate - just need to hold the phone close enough to your face. Has anyone else tried it? iTunes link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cardiio-touchless-camera-pulse/id542891434?ls=1&mt=8

I use Azumio's Heart Rate app, been using it for a long time. It's super accurate and the app is polished and has some very useful resources, tracking and settings. Why change. :)

I haven't found it terribly reliable. In two back to back readings, it showed 90+ BPM first, then 36 BPM. In actuality it should have been around 70.

Well I can say I've been using instant heart rate for a while I find it to be pretty accurate. at worst it's of a few bpm I did compare last time I went to the docs and he was impressed I think it was minus 3 bpm. and there is a paif and a free version. Since it appears to be just a happy customer I'm sure the thread starter won't mind us talking about other similar apps. Maybe he will find one he like better. :D
