I don't know why you'd want to live way out there anyways, that'd be a hell of a commute into Austin.

I thought it goes right through Austin? I heard that it's supposed to affect the economy there, too. I'm sure you know a lot more about it.

Through Austin? No. My understanding is that it will go through/near Taylor and Elgin, which is roughly an hour and half to two hours commute without rush hour traffic.

It will likely affect businesses on I35 that are dependent on the through-traffic. Austin as a whole, will not be affected much either way.
