He's obviously just trying to pump up the price of Apple shares. I wouldn't take anything he says about Apple seriously.

Greedy people like Carl Icahn are like monkeys who manage to accumulate the largest number of bananas. They seem intent on becoming the richest people in the cemetery. If only they would instead use their talents on improving the human condition instead of spending so much time accumulating more bananas/acquiring more billions of dollars, we would be living in a better world.

Clearly the author of this story doesn't follow or understand AAPL stock. AAPL has surpassed $750B in market cap several times now as their stock has previously reached $133 and then even $134 and change after earnings. 27 comments and nobody else caught this. Wow.

"In the past twenty-four hours, Apple surpassed the $750 billion market cap milestone for the first time"

I agree completely. Just look at the displays Apple offers compared to Samsung or NEC. I see them coming out with a significantly better Apple TV and the possibility of integration with the TV makers, similar to what they are doing with CarPlay.

Yep, that would make more sense. TVs are huge and that also plays a part on warehouse distribution and space on retail stores. There is no reason to have a TV with an Apple logo on it. Current displays are very good.

Just improve ATV box, figure out a distribution deal, create services that can be integrate with ATV and finally an app store. Right there it will be a huge boost.

I doubt Apple will jump into the display business. Very low margins and huge competition. The current displays are great, the issue is more about the UI and content distribution. Apple doesn't need to create a display to improve these issues.

You're wrong about that. The retail markup is 30% in the high end display business. I caught a sneak at a major retailers costs on a high end flat screen which is the kind of product Apple will be competing with. From China to the customer it's easily 40-50% which is right up Apple's alley. 9% for the dealers

Indeed, the guy is biased. No wonders why, he has millions and millions into Apple, he is trying to make the most of it, one way is to release such rumors, which might effect Apple shares by a bit (positively), since the guy is influational ...

Mmm like LG, Samsung and Sony. They're huge Apple fans.
Samsung and LG Korea may be interested but I don't think Samsung and LG USA will want to hear it

My opinion is he is deliberately lying to push up the stock price. He really expects a 27% jump in iPad revenue when it has fallen the last few years?
