I just bought the Pioneer SPH-DA120 yesterday (bought it somewhere else but had them match the BB sale price). Originally I was going to go with a $400 JVC carplay unit (when I first starting looking this Pioneer was $500), but decided to switch to the Pioneer after being told about the sale just hours before I made the purchase.

I'm very impressed with it. Really makes my new base model car seem a lot nicer, while also adding hands free calling, Bluetooth, backup camera, and of course CarPlay. All the missing features (except CarPlay) were available on the next trim level, but the head unit was nothing special - so I decided to skip it and just add my own head unit.

With the stock base level head unit - the speakers sounded like they would need to be replaced. This Pioneer seems to have given them new life as well - so I won't have to replace them right away like I thought I would need to.

I'm still kind of down on Siri (we don't get along very well together) and I am a little surprised by the lack of apps that allow for CarPlay support, but for $299, this CarPlay head unit is a steal.

Glad you like it. I agree with most points made. I don't seem to have too much trouble with Siri though.

I noticed the price on BB website went back to $399 today. I'd still think thats a fair price, but $299 was an absolute steal!
