Anyone else with this issue? Since Upgrading to iOS 12, Apple Music won't play through CarPlay. I can ask Siri to play a specific song, it'll load it but it won't start playing. It'll show it on the display - if I push "play" it doesn't do anything at all - it'll just show the pause "button" again. Spotify and everything else seems to work just fine.

My car's a 2017 Ford EDGE.

Try holding your siri button on your steering wheel and say "Play" - I've had this issue many times before on iOS 11 and that seems to be a fix.

No change so far, I‘ll check with Ford if there‘s been an update to Sync 3

Solved - just go into the Music App directly on your iPhone and hit Continue, then it works with CarPlay fine.

Thank you, that actually did work. Which is odd as I have the music app open pretty much constantly and I never get a prompt to continue, this only happens in the car.

Did it for me the first time I tried to use Apple Music after updating to iOS 12 which just happened to be via CarPlay. Never done it since.
