Its not a celebration of music, its a celebration of many peoples' obsession with celebrities.

In my opinion, Happy Days was never a quality show, it was a popular show. Have you ever heard anyone reminisce about it? I'm sure there's a fan club somewhere but the show has mostly faded from view. It got good ratings, but hasn't held up over time. But ABC had no trouble selling commercial spots, which is all they cared about. what metric are we supposed to judge shows by if you don't use ratings, especially over an extended period of time? I didn't watch Happy Days (and I could have) and I won't watch Carpool Karaoke, but I'm not a typical tv viewer. The show will either find an audience or fail. Since it's not aimed at me I m not going to bad mouth it, it just isn't what I am interested in. I don't think my views and tastes should dictate what people choose to watch. If it's unpopular-which isn't the same as being bad- it won't last.
Ed my friend. You've turned a little joke about Carpool Karaoke and the Fonz into the equivalent of dissecting a frog. Sure, you learn more about the frog, but he had to die for you to do it. Was it worth it?

I never expected to see the day where Apple was so big that I could entirely ignore some of their products and even entire product categories. I have had far more interest in things they have made that I would never have a use for, like Logic Pro for example, than I have in this.
I completely ignored Ping and Game Center. And I've ignored Beats, so unlike you, having products and categories to ignore is nothing new for me.

Among the video programming Apple has announced for Apple Music, Carpool Karaoke is the only one that mildly interests me. And that's only because I've seen a few segments and enjoyed them. I hope (for my own sake) Apple Music finds some programming that is compelling to me, like The Man In The High Castle or Stranger Things.

My one comment on this video is who is driving the car? I see both hands of the driver clapping... and there was just a news video showing how a 18 year old girl lost control of her car (no hands on the wheel), rolled it and killed her 14 year old sister. How about a little thought about SAFETY?

Apple should produce all these shows under the Beats brand .

Apple trying to be Beats , I'm not sure will work out. Just trying way way way to hard to be cool, for a company that was already cool due to their products.

Without Cue/Iovine jumping in front of the camera, their lack of substance must have brought them into an extraterrestial orbit...

The car is probably on a flatbed most of the time with a few bits interjected where it is on the road for real.

They probably have one engineer dedicated to Logic but right now he's on the moving team getting everyone moved into to Apple Park while the Apple Music are freed up make these shows.

Nothing would be more entertaining than watching them get T-boned by a Mack Truck.

I would think most young drivers wouldn't think about how the video was made... Instead, they would probably take their hands off the wheel and clap or hold a camera phone to live feed. Oh well - Darwin material

The advertising is bit misleading, in many countries it will not be the 9th anymore by the time it appears on Apple Music.

I went into an Apple store this weekend just because I hadn't been in one in a while. The only thing in there I really wanted to take a look at was the Apple Watch bands sadly. Much to my surprise, every display in the place... all the iPads, iPhones, Macbooks, iMacs, TVs... everything... was playing the same Carpool Karaoke loop. Seriously? I have just lost any desire to go in an Apple Store again unless I really have to for a repair.
