carrier settings always needing to update

why is my iPhone constantly trying to update the carrier settings.

everytime i plug in my iphone and load itunes, i get a message saying my carrier settings need to be updated.

Carrier settings want to download

Moi aussi. Everytime I plug in I get the prompt to download new carrier settings. Can't be that they're new every time?

Same here, exact same problem. Running a 32GB 3GS w/ iOS4, I also can't picture message and when making a call i'm told call forwarding is activated, when it's not. Brilliant.
