I switched to Carrot Weather after Weather Line's announced shutdown (I was previously a WL "lifetime" member - for all that was worth).

Why aren't there more apps with a UI like WL? Is it proprietary? WL is the best (IMO) way to display weather information, and I don't know why more apps don't knock it off.
I really miss the Weather Line UI too!

I am excited about this update though. For the first time I can finally use just 1 weather app for all my needs. IMO this app is totally worth the subscription. Responsive developer who listens to feedback, big updates all the time, can customize the entire UI more was than I could ever imagine.

I choose to support apps that serve my needs, are visually appealing, and continue to find ways to improve. Carrot ticks all of these boxes for me. Upped my subscription to Ultra with this version. $30 a year is a bargain and I don't want Carrot to go the way of Weather Line.
I came for the snark, stayed for the customization and Apple Watch integration ??

WHAAAAAAT 3D Globe View !!! That's discrimination!!! Right there!!! As a Flat-Earther I demand a Discworld like appearance! Turtle and all!

It actually has flat earth mode for you! (Not kidding)

For those saying it’s inaccurate, with premium you can change the data source, there are about six to choose from plus personal weather stations nearby. Switch them until you find the one that matches your weather.

The one it uses in the free tier is logically the cheapest and probably least accurate (Foreca. I don’t know anything about them but that’s the source.)
What are the different data sources, CarAnalogy? TIA for the sources.

I honestly feel like $4.99 per month is too much for a weather app. The update is nice since it introduces nice features but please lower the monthly price point.
Yikes. I would never pay that. One time $4.99 purchase… yeah. Hell, I don’t think I would pay $4.99 a year for a weather app. But per month is ludicrous.

Carrot is the best app on the appstore în my opinion. Well worth the annual subscription especially if you have an apple watch.

Still the best options for Australians who want BOM data (subscription required) but not use the atrocious BOM app, since the traitors at Shifty Jelly shut down Pocket Weather.

You can pay annually for $19.99 (which works out to about $1.67 a month). Weather data is not free and Carrot offers multiple sources to pull from. For my purposes at least I think the customization options, including the ability to customize the weather widget, are worth it.

Foreca, Dark Sky, Accuweather, Tomorrow.IO, AerisWeather, Meteogroup. Available in Canada only, Environment Canada. In Australia only, WillyWeather (an Australian sounding name for a company if I’ve ever heard one.)

You should get Ventusky, it has a 3d globe, amazing UI and all data sources you could ever want. One time payment. Meteoearth, my long time favorite just closed but this one is much better. Now I can see the weather globe again, yay! :)
