Before I take the plunge buy Carrot Weather, can anyone who currently uses it tell me if you can set up multiple complications to show different info? Ie, see image below - I like to have separate comps for rain fall, temperature, wind speed and current conditions.

I find the stock app, whilst doing exactly what I want, can be a bit off sometimes and I’m looking for more accuracy.

Is that an altitude setting in the lower right corner?

Thre is a specific carrot complication however just one that displays limited information which requires you to then click into it for more info.

Nope, it’s Duffy - a Pedometer complication

Ah okay, thanks. I won’t bother buying it then

Yes. I have mine setup to show current wind direction and speed, wind forecast by hour (direction, speed), current and high/low temperatures, and air quality. 4 complications in all.

I'd suggest you think twice about Carrot. It has a reputation for good weather reporting, but others such as Forecast Bar and Dark Sky do as well. Uniquely, Carrot is supposed to be "amusing." Personally, I found it so annoying (how many times can a piece of software call you a meatbag before you've had quite enough?) that I deleted it and sought a refund.

Here are some of Carrot’s complication options on the infograph watch face. Carrot Weather is highly customizable all the way around, a great weather app for the watch and I highly recommend.

I admit, the “snark” is not amusing at all and I find it beyond annoying. But there is an option to disable the “snark” and banter completely. I have the entire app set to “professional” personality and it behaves like any other weather app in that respect.

Does their Infograph circle complication give the option for a location like Forecast Bar or WeatherMate (or are there other ones that do as well)?

I've used Carrot for years. While I see your point, you do know that you can go in and change the personality to just report weather right? It has a variety of personality types.

Overkill --> Homicidal --> Snarky --> Friendly --> Professional.

Either I'm used to it by now or I haven't seen it call me a meatbag for quite some time. lol.

I've used Dark Sky and give it good ratings but settled on CarrotWeather.

Thanks for the feedback! That's exactly what I'm after

Actually I did not know that. I was too busy being annoyed by the unfunniness of whatever the default personality is to explore for humor settings. Ah well.

They really should make that more discoverable. Too bad.

You can buy carrot fit and get one more complication out of carrot weather.

I gave up on carrot when they introduced the ridiculous subscription tier and dark sky improved dramatically.

Carrot is good. But this endless subscription cycle with multiple tiers and you can have this this this.

Also carrots push notifications are worse than dark sky. Bear that in mind. They got really inconsistent for me (I never paid for the very top tier but had the lower ones.

The fact I can’t even get basic functionality for an option I paid for now doesn’t sit right. At least let me get basic weather from it.

Does dark sky let you have multiple complications on one watch face?

ie, one for temp, one for chance of rain, one for wind?

Question all.

Check the images I have posted - I have a screenshot of my modular compact face and the complications options on my phone.

See I have circled on my phone where it displays the ‘current conditions’ but on my watch, it displays the ‘high/low’ temperature?

is there a way to get my watch to display the current condition rather than the high/low? I have played about And cannot get it to work. 4E27CA5A-7477-4B66-83E7-D6A3DD2AA052.jpegC628E53D-B0EA-4127-836F-6FBF16F1E2A9.jpeg

Are you using Dark Sky as the source of data for your  Watch? It may be that whether a current condition reading is displayed is linked to the source you choose -- either it is included as part of their package, or it is not...

Using Dark Sky as the source of data for my  Watch, it does display the current condition reading...

EDIT: Current conditions display does not seem to be supported by the 5-Hour Chart setting you are presently using -- the 10-Hour Chart setting, or longer, does seem to support it, however...

Yeah, I use Dark Sky.

Ah yes, I have just tried and it does work with the 10 hour chart but not the 5 hour as you say.

Shame

basically the same one that the default apple weather has I believe
Thank you.

Seems of all the weather apps I download, they don't update in real time like the default weather on the watch does. And yes their background refresh on both iPhone and watch are on.

and that hold true with Dark sky as well, love the app but the complication is garbage compared to the default one. Which is OK by me cause i'm fine with the default weather as a complication.

Carrot updates the data on its complications frequently, but you have to buy a subscription for that.

Weather app developers have to pay for every weather data update their application requests. In case of Apple Watch app, this can mean for example 10-20 updates per day if you want the complication to show up-to-date information.
