Case for SE 2020 ?

Hi, does anyone have any idea what older phone cases would fit the new SE without obscuring buttons or camera? I plan to get two as soon as pre orders start but really want a temporary case immediatel, ideally one the covers the front.

I think I’ve worked out an 8 should fit.

The new SE and 8 share the exact same dimensions and design language (except Apple logo position). Cases for the 8/7 would fit the new SE.

^This, except in the case (pun intended) where iPhone 8 cases have the Apple logo cutout, it would be off. The logo is now centered on the SE.

Surprised to find that there is not much third party case choice in the UK, considering that iPhone 8 cases can be used. Perhaps demand has dropped for the old phones and global events mean that new production is delayed.

Yes I saw that, I’ve avoided any cases with a centre back cut out.

There is loads of choice on Amazon. A lot of iPhone 8 cases have already been relabelled as for the SE 2020.

I’m not a fan of the cases with the logo cut out myself. The old metal backed iPhones used to get that permanent circle around the logo I never liked that. Funny how the price of iPhone 7/8 cases were dirt cheap before the SE was announced, and now that they’re rebranded to include the SE, the prices have increased. I was thinking about picking up an iPhone 8 so I was looking at cases. Glad I waited for the SE announcement before I jumped on the 8.

Yes to both. The only difference as mentioned previously is the position of the Apple logo. Apple didn't shift the position of the buttons as they did with 11 series.

They certainly show a lot of search results but when you look closer many are only in stock for the Plus models or not in the colours I want. I have now ordered something for me and my partner, but not they were not my first or second choice for either.

I found the opposit, too much choice, but unfortunately most in the lower end of the price scale. We have Sena cases for our 6S’s. I’d like them again for the new phones.

I think we probably found the same. Limited choice from the quality brands but plenty of trash featuring glitter, unicorns and other bling.

We ended up with two of these, one in brown, the other in red. Should keep us going until we can get better cases.
