Who here has a case for their MacBook Air like the images below? I am thinking about it, but the idea of adding plastic or rubber to my beautiful metal laptop is not really something I would do.

I have been using cheap snap-on cases from Amazon for years with no issues. The cases I install and very tight and do not move or shift as I pick up my MacBook. Scratches can happen if debris gets in between the case and the MacBook casing.

As another poster mentioned the cases can cause scratches if anything vets between them and the MacBook. I learned the hard way on a previous machine. Since then I have kept them bare.

I have however just bought a DockCase sleeve. Very cool as plot has ports built in.

Wow just went to the website for this and went to purchase one for my 12 inch MacBook and they only have black and red. Would have loved one in brown. May still get one. Does it work well for you?

Only had it a day but pleased with it so far

I use a tote bag/purse by timbuktu for my mba 2010 that absorbed 3 drops that still is sturdy and colorfast.

If it didn't match the ports on fist attempt isn't it scratched too? Just asking because of the space on the edges on your last picture...

My setup. Snap on cover and KB cover from Amazon. Sleeve as well. Outside of it has a pocket to store the wall charger and a mouse.
