Anyone ever used the Case-Mate leather suit for the MBP?
http://www.case-mate.com/laptop/15suits/15sblackcases

I am looking for some good protection for my MBP that isn't bulky as the bag I am carrying it is just over 15'' wide I think, so I got the Booq Vyper sleeve and one little drop later and I got a nasty dent in my MBP so I am not too enthused about that case and am looking for something different.

Are plastic cases like the Incase one any good for drop protection/adsorbtion, or would they just convey the energy to the laptop and shatter the screen or something?

I still think that any drop without a padded case will result in damage,
but either way, that leather case looks NICE.

ah this must be real leather, looking at the price. have you also seen the uniea u-suit, similar type of thing but fake leather, afaik microfibre lined too, & i read that this absorbs some of the heat away from the unit (?...hmmm....)

i'm waiting for some of these to appear in the uk, i'm not so sure about the plasticcy ones i've seen (even some of those are hard to come by).

does anyone have the cases from macbook-case, they look interesting too?
