I’ve used Loopy cases on my last 5 phones at least. I honestly cannot imagine not having a Loopy.

However, I like the idea of having the mag safe wallet, and am wondering which cases work with that - do I have to go apple, or are there other options? I’m sure with the trackable wallet, I have to have Apple, but not sure about the case itself.

Still not sure I can give up my Loopy, but looking at my options.

Oh we could be the same person. This is the first time I am not getting a Loopy right away. I did purchase the Wisteria leather case and want to try the leather wallet as i don't take a wallet/purse a lot because I have a diaper bag.

Just the idea of my cards being in something that can easily fall off makes me nervous, so I'd love to hear opinions as well.

Well, I actually HAVE ordered my Loopy, but figured if I decided on something different in the meantime, I’d just return it. My phone isn’t due to arrive until sometime next week, so I have a little time.

Any case that says it's magsafe compatible should work, some third party cases are.

I‘m more wondering about the new “find” feature for the wallet - seems like that would have to be an Apple one for that to work.

I used to use Loops with my iPhone the last few years but didn’t like the way it worked with the iPhone 12 Pro Max and leather case, so I went without anything to help hold the phone. It did work with wireless charging but probably interferes with magsafe contact.

I do have a apple wallet, but I only use it when I expect I might need it, without my purse. I actually get a lot of use out of Apple Pay given lots of CC checkouts have gone touch less.

In my perfect world, a secure MagSafe attaching loop/popit/snap that I could switch in our out would meet my need. I might try the magsafe popit but not happy with the color choices of white or black.
I believe the SNAP requires adhesive fixing vs. mag safe attached?

And if I could get the *&$#($&#Audible book to sync, I could go phoneless on a walk.

Just to clarify, the new Apple MagSafe wallet is not “trackable“ like it has an AirTag built in. It doesn’t, so you cannot track the wallet if it is moving. Instead, the wallet includes an NFC circuit that will notify you if the wallet becomes detached from your iPhone, and you can see where that occurred In the FindMy app.

Putting aside the requirement for the case to be MagSafe compatible in order to use the wallet, I looked at the Loopy cases and I don’t see how you could even attach an Apple wallet with the finger loopy thing on the back. Or am I missing something?

Oh I would not use the mag safe wallet with a Loopy - I’d buy a compatible case if I decided to go that route, which I’m leaning towards NOT doing at this point. I just think I’d miss my Loopy, and not really get the use out of the wallet I think I would.

They key consideration for me using the wallet was the fact that, with a couple of minor exceptions, everywhere I shop takes Apple Pay. To cover those exceptions, I keep one credit card, along with my driver’s license and a $50 bill, in the wallet. If you are planning to just carry your phone and the wallet, you will want to think carefully if you can get by with 2-3 cards and ID and Apple Pay.

I am experimenting with carrying as little as possible so I am using just my phone and the wallet. It’s working well so far. And now that my new Lincoln can use my phone instead the remote fob to unlock, start and drive the car, I don’t even carry a car fob anymore. :)

Well, I can’t be that minimal yet. I do think it’s possible I can unlock my vehicle with my app, but I haven’t tried that - the thing is I can’t start it without the key fob, and it won’t lock with the key fob inside, so I wouldn’t be able to lock it.

Also, I can’t really just carry the phone in my hand - have to carry a purse, and if I’m gonna do that, there’s really no reason to not keep my wallet in it - I have a super slim wallet anyway.

Overall I am intrigued by it, but just don’t think I’m there yet.
