I have an Otterbox case for my iphone that makes it water proof and very difficult to break.

Any suggestions for something similar for the 15'' macbook pro?

(I realize that water proof is a tall order given that the machine has a keyboard, inputs, needs ventilation etc.)

Just to be clear, it would have to be a case rather than a sleeve.

    Thanks!

Making it water proof is just not going to happen. Even if they could you would not want to carry it around anymore.

There are many here who will give you suggestions but also go to Amazon and search for MacBook Cases and you will find many with good and not so good reviews.

    Best of luck

The Otterbox cases are not waterproof.

Not going to see a waterproof case for MBP, at least to the public, in my opinion.

any MBP case is nearly for scratch proofing it, not water or drop proofing it

there might be some briefcase style cases that help for drops

OtterBox Armor series is. Just like the LifeProof cases.
