Hi

Decided on getting the 13 iPad Air after debating around which 11 inch model to get. The iPad arrives tomorrow, but I’m struggling to find any decent cases, in particular a folio case.

Has anyone any decent recommendations?

Also, just looking at the older 12.9 pro folio case, is there any reason why this wouldn’t fit?

There are several threads about this very issue, almost as many threads as there are case / folio vendors. Try this one to start:

Cases and folio cases designed for previous generations of the 12.9” iPad Pro’s will not fit the new 13” iPad Pro M4 because the magnets on the rear are in a different orientation and and place. This is because of the move of the camera to the landscape orientation. The camera numb has also changed and been moved ever so slightly.

I haven’t purchased a 13 inch pro, I’ve purchased an air.

I was also asking if the old Magic Keyboard for 12.9 pros can be used with the new air, would there be a reason why the 12.9 3rd,4th,5th and 6th folios wouldn’t work

Some manufactures ie: Nomad, say yes, Apple site does not have any of the old cases listed, and the newer ones only say for the new Air. Case by case (no pun intended) basis. sorry about the 13” quotes.

I have the ESR that does a bunch of angles and things, but it's heavy AF for a case. I think it weighs more than the latest metal Brydge keyboard and case I have on my 11" M1 Pro.
