so, can't find any cases for the MacBook Pro 16 inch? the new one that was just announced! anybody know where I can order them?

Same here! I really want a hard-cover case but they cannot be found anywhere. no keyboard or screen protectors either

The dimensions of the new MBP 16'' 2021 are nearly identical to the MBP 2015 15''. The new MacBook Pro fits perfectly in my old case.

I think what they (and I) are looking for is a hard case, not a sleeve.

Something like this on this picture.

We just got our new 16" and I can't find any cases. Even apple sells those for many of their laptops (like this), but none for the 2021 models.

M1 Air: CASE ok
M1 Pro: CASE ok
M1 14": CASE is iffy
M1 16": It's heavy enough!

I'd just prefer a skin or two. I'm not going to physically drop this monster either. Scratches will be fine with some skins.

Ah I see, a hard shell plastic case. I had one of those for my 2015 unibody MBP. Looking at this older MBP and comparing it to the new one, I'm not sure how these cases would work. The unibody MacBooks had a bevel around the display portion of the body where a hard shell piece could clamp/grip. This also gave room for clamps that hold the lower case part in place. But the new ones do not have that. As a result the gap between the display portion and the lower deck of the new MBP is really small. Maybe this is the reason no third party manufacturer (and not even Apple) has released a case for the new ones yet, because it's more difficult to make fit.

This is what I found today. I haven't ordered it as I hope to see something available sooner. Need one ASAP.

The flaps that "grip" around the MacBook body seem really thin. This could work. Though, the thinner the easier it will break.
