#anotherbendthread

Blah Blah Blah yeah so Ive come to terms that the dam phone bends, I was in denial and I refused to believe it, I battled people on Youtube that it was BS and then I visited my Apple store last night and 2 of the Pluses had slight bends, maybe it was customers bending the phones or maybe it was the weight of the shipments from China to America and some of the bottom phones on the pallet got crushed ...Oh well whatever - I'm still keeping my 6 Plus.

I purposely didn't put this in the accessories section because I feel this should be a topic of discussion here.

So after careful thinking, i came to the conclusion that a Slider style case should do the trick and help reenforce the structure of the 6 Plus, at least for a year until the 6S Plus comes out, anyone with half a brain at apple will quickly begin to work on this problem and surely have a solution by then.

Any better recommendations for cases to reenforce the structure?

Apple case FTW.

Hey, its a conspiracy! Maybe they made soft iPhones so they could sell more Apple cases?

CASEGATE!!!!

Well, if you think about, Apples silicone case probably costs about 5 Cents to produce in China and they sell retail for $40 bucks, thats a 4000% mark up...You never know, the profit from Apples new case line might be flipping the bill for the new Flying Saucer Building, its not like Apples got an extra cool 2 Billion siting around :D

There are few, if any, that will protect your phone from bending if you really stress it.

You will have to wait for the 7 before any design changes. I think the bending thing is blown way out of proportion. If you do not sit on your phone you should be fine. I never put mine in my pocket so I am not concerned.

This case is very rigid and thin. It's like adding a back to the phone. In reality, you don't need anything bulky, just something rigid to reinforce the back and side of phone.

This one is similar to the OEM Silicone and leather case, the edges of the phone could still pop out of the sides and are still prone to bending. The slider cases offer a thin ledge almost like a pocket that the phone slides into which I think would offer major structural ability to these phones.

I have it and it's very rigid. It will not bend or pop out. Not at all like the silicone or leather case. Those are much more pliable. I have the leather case too, and it's much easier to bend compared to the rigid case.

Really? Prone to bending? You don't say?

Care to share how exactly these phones are "still prone" to bending? I mean, after the designer and manufacturer already explained how they are NOT, I am curious to understand how you reached this fascinating conclusion.

I got the case before my phone which is still in shipment. Apple gave me their best case free after I complained about all the snafus in the preorder process.

I'm worried about my 6 Plus bending in my front pocket as well. But most of the cases out now look like dog *****. Still looking for a cool case to put my 6 Plus in...

Ive Been trying to find a case that could reenforce the structure of my 6 Plus and I've come to the conclusion that the thinnest way to do it is with a slider case.

The phone slides in and locks into place with the thin lip thats wrapped around the phone preventing any bending.

Having a larger phone also makes it nice to watch movies and videos so the kick stand comes in handy.

I think these are very nice cases by Prodigee.

6 - Ships Oct 7, 2014
6 Plus - Ships End of October.

I think as long as you buy a case with a hard plastic that crosses the weak point next to the volume buttons, it should work. The other option is one with a metal or hard plastic band around the outside. Lots of cases fit this category.

People are way too concerned about an issue which was already debunked by Consumer Reports. The phone will not bend under normal use.

Agreed in 95% of cases. Some people will bend it in certain type of jeans doing certain time. Case for impact protection, saved me 3x, my wife 2x. Screen protector from scratches...saves my phone quite often. Even the 9h screen protectors will scratch with my keys at time.

I do get the Apple leather case ( a freebie from Apple after a complaint about preorder screw ups. ). Also a Zagg tempered glass screen cover. I think that will do it for me. And it really looks nice on my. 6 Plus.
