I wanted to know the opinion of the cases that have no top or bottom at the front. The slim cases seem to oft be this way, and id like to know if anybody has ever had these cases and damaged the uncovered area..

I got that one for my 5 and had it for my 4S too. Doesn't scratch it, has a solid but not too much grip, and so far hasn't damaged either phone.

I've had my phone in the Poetic atmosphere case since it came out of the box, but I thought I'd give one of these cases with the exposed top and bottom a try.
I liked the look, but it scared me.
I ended up with a little nick in the aluminum at the top of my phone. I hadn't noticed this nick before I tried the case...and I was extra careful while my phones parts were exposed 😱
Although my phone is now christened..it'll be covered up from now on 🙂
