The Paley Center for Media today announced the full lineup of programming for its virtual PaleyFest LA 2021 television festival next month, including the Golden Globe-nominated Apple TV+ comedy series "Ted Lasso."

PaleyFest is described as featuring "conversations with the cast and creative teams from television's most acclaimed and most popular shows, providing fans with exclusive behind-the-scenes scoops and breaking news stories."

"I get to speak for the whole Ted Lasso team when I say thanks for including us at this year's PaleyFest," said Bill Lawrence, creator and executive producer of Ted Lasso. "We're so grateful to anyone who gave our show any of their time this year - it's cool to have the opportunity to let fans know that in person."

The initial slate of programming will be available to the public starting on March 30, with additional releases on March 31 and April 1 on the Paley Center's dedicated channel on Yahoo Entertainment. Citi cardmembers and The Paley Center for Media members will have early access to the programming starting March 26.

Ted Lasso's panel discussion will be released on April 1 at 7 a.m. Pacific Time, and will feature creator Bill Lawrence, lead actor Jason Sudeikis, and other cast members from the hit show, such as Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple, Nick Mohammed, Brett Goldstein, and Phil Dunster.

Sudeikis plays the title character Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer. The show has received positive reviews, with many viewers finding solace in Lasso's unrelenting positivity amid the trying times of late.

What is it with people on this forum and this show? No way was it better than The Boys last year. Not even close.
two very different shows, and while I really liked the second season of the boys im not finding myself returning to it on the same frequency I do Ted Lasso. Honestly love having this show running while I do dishes and other daily task, the injection of an ever positive attitude and the notion of being curious just brightens what what a really boring year with lockdowns and a lot of turmoil

we just watched this show last weekend and really enjoyed it

it’s always nice to see more shows that are actually funny without being relentlessly mean or negative

After watching a couple of episodes this show has a weird and new formula. While its a sitcom, it has a mix of drama storyline it. A continuous arc which keeps people watching , meanwhile maintaining the 30min or so sitcom length. I am not sure if this was done before. I am also surprised its popular since it has to do with soccer which is something the USA does not care about or understand, even more weird is Apple giving it the go ahead when in reality they target the US market first. I think if they switched storylines making it a British soccer coach coming to America to coach an American Football team there the American audience will resonate more with the show.

I also find this show is super hard to shoot during COVID. Each team has 11+ players, the fans, the whole cast, in the outdoors, and more. Its not like a sitcom with 5 main characters on a studio set.

IMO it's barely about soccer. I'd say it's more about personal relationships.

You know what the happiest animal in the world is? It's a goldfish. It's got a 10 second memory.

By the time I finished writing this comment I will have forgotten about the AppleTV+ promo and PaleyFest.

What I love about Ted Lasso is how many of the characters start off with negative, hate and egoistic traits, only focused on their own agendas, and through interacting with Ted Lasso their anger evaporates as they discover their positive sides and how they can live happier and more fulfilled lives.

Just talking for myself after watching an episode, I feel good about myself and in this bizarre world we are living in, with a few slight adjustments and perception of reality, there really is hope. There are not many shows that make me feel like that. Thank you Jason Sudeikis and Apple ?

Such an uplifting series and the comedy is so fine tuned. Love the characters. Love the show. One of my favorites of this last year.

You are not wrong but then why add the soccer/sport side to it? Why not just make it about people in a community like Full House I guess.

The fans aren’t real!

Well obviously, that soccer pitch is so CG it looks like EA Fifa game but there are parts with many background extras, for example that starting shot has maybe 20-30. In the days of COVID, you should be 2-3 meters away from others and gatherings should be small no more than 2-5 I say.

It was OK. It felt like a Ned Flanders version of Moneyball, they even stole material from it.

I am not a Simpson viewer, but now that you said it, Ted Lasso seems a personification of Ned Flanders. You killed the creativity and the joy of the character and the series. I hate copy cats.

Are you talking about the one with super heroes from Amazon Prime?

I want a Golden Globes sweep tonight for Ted Lasso. In fact, I demand it.
