Good day!

I know for quite a while - sometime back in a prior iMac OS update - the regular APPLE mail stopped playing nicely with GOOGLE gmail...the whole GMAIL/GOOGLE authorization fiasco!

Well, now my iMAC 27" late 2013 is running Catalina - and while I've used other apps to read my email - I still like the apple email - and I use it on my iPhone and iPad - so - any idea how to create a friendly situation for apple mail and my google email accounts? Some have said, "use your @icloud.com or @me.com email accounts - but for my job and most of my world - my gmail accounts have been my go to.

So.

HELP!

Thanks...hope all are safe and healthy.

Namaste,

jrlTheyThem

Might help to get more details re: what problem you are seeing.

Personally, not seeing any authorization problems, never did. And added a new Gmail account a week or two ago to Mac mail with no issue.

No app specific passwords. The account I added recently went through the standard Mail > Accounts > Google, which brought up the mini-browser to enter credentials and 2FA code.
