Same here, restarting does the trick. Man, this has been the worse season of updates from Apple I’ve experienced, so much for it just works.

Wow. I can’t believe they released **** software like this.

Mine is stuck at the exact same point. I let it sit for 3 hours now...

Hoping that if I turn off the MacBook, it will fix itself. That’s what we have succumb to... ghetto fixes to make Apple software work.

Me too. It’s been a long time stuck on this screen. How long did you wait until you tried turning it off?

Same here. I waited about 20 minutes on that screen then Forced a shutdown. Restarted and took me back in without issue. Scary, but seems to be the nature of the beast.

Mine says 'Install Update.' When I click on it, it starts downloading updates for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes, the box for 'install now' shows up again. I click on it and the process repeats itself. Reboots do nothing.

I'm not even remotely surprised seeing as they released iOS 13 which was pretty much a beta.

After 6+ hrs on this screen and putting in my password every 20mins In the first hour then I left the house and let it do it’s deal.

I backed up first, here we go turning it off like everyone else did. Haha

edit: Worked out perfect by holding down power and turned it back on and no issues (yet).
