Hello,

Was wondering if any of you have had the Caudabe Sheath for the iPhone X and also the Spigen Liquid Air and/or the Apple Leather case.

I consider the Apple leather case pretty minimal. Is the Sheath thinner and lighter? The leather case may not be thin but it is v v light I think. Of course not compared to the Veil XT but that's a whole different type of case.

What about the Spigen Liquid Air? I understand that's comparable?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Spigen are good and inexpensive, but I love my Sheath as its thinner and has a nice grippy texture to it. I do prefer the buttons on spigen cases as the sheath doesn't give a super clicky response, but its not a dealbreaker.

I always use the apple leather cases. I usually get the phones a few months after the release and can pick up a gently used or open box case off of ebay or amazon for at least half (sometimes even more than half) of what the case would cost new. I like they way they feel, they look great, and have provided enough protection for any drops I have had. I got a used iphone x off of swappa that came with a spigen case. I was not a fan of the spigen in looks or feel and got an open box apple leather red case for $20 - the apple case looked brand new.

I would love an apple leather case but can't do the open bottom. With that said, the sheath is my favorite case, its even replaced my overpriced element case.

Thanks for all of your responses! Going to try out the sheath - I have the leather case already so maybe I can report back if helpful.

i've had an Apple leather on my iPhone 7, and handled many iPhone X and XS phones with the leather case.

i think the leather case is slightly thicker than the Sheath, relatively slippery, and doesn't protect the bottom. the buttons on the Apple leathers are the best of any case i've used.

the Sheath doesn't have an exposed bottom, and it seems like it would provide more cushion if the phone were dropped. the buttons i would give a B+ (A+ for apple leather)...very good but not at the same level as the apple case. the Sheath is also much more texture and grippy, but not as crazy as the Apple Silicon. i like it a lot. the Sheath, finally is thinner overall which is incredible. yet, with a 0.33m glass protector, the lip on the Sheath is very slight so i wouldn't put the phone face down on any surfaces unless very smooth.

(i recently went from a 0.25mm to 0.33mm glass protector and the lessening of the lip is noticeable)
