OS X Cave Story on PPC

Does anyone else have problems applying the English patch for Cave Story on PPC? The game runs just fine, but I don't know what's up with the patcher. I'm also running on Tiger at the moment.

EDIT: SO instead of using keka to unarchive the patch's tarball I tried Unarchiver and all of sudden the patcher starts working? I guess keka does some weird stuff when unarchiving a tarball.
