RTD-NC
I thought CBS was working on an app to be released in the Fall. Did I miss any announcements?

The new season is about to start and I wish I could watch NCIS on my iPad.

They say there going to do both. They also say that they would have a lot of their shows in iPad format by this time. Do they?

I think you have to pay to watch games on CBC over their iPhone app.

I guess it would be useful if you are away from your tv but I wouldn't want to pay for a game that is on cable for 'free'.

It is nice that RDS (french TSN) shows every Habs game in HD. But the french package does cost about $7 a month, which is probably close to or just less than $1 a game.

So if CBC charges more than $1 per game it is a rip off.

The other networks are totally missing the ball here. They need to do what ABC has done. And it should have been done by now, they've had six months to sort things out. To not have something ready for the start of the fall season where they could (and should) be promoting their new shows is very shortsighted. ABC seems to be the only one that gets it.

The other networks though don't have Steve Jobs on their parent company's Board of Directors or have him as one of the parent company's largest shareholders.

True, however in their business, (any business really these days) you need to be able to react FAST to the Marketplace and user needs. To do anything else, is to hand over customers to faster competitors. Not a smart business move.

The start of the fall season is the perfect time to launch an app so that their new shows can be watched and promoted easily.
